Going to the old XOXO cemetery was just mind-blowing….I met a lot of people, living and dead, and shared a glass of mezcal with a woman giving her deceased dad a toast at his grave….Really something I will never forget…Oaxaca is stunning en todos lados!!

I enjoy your podcasts, Ed, and this one especially. I was in Guatemala twice for Day of the Dead near Antigua. The kites were amazing, the other rituals intriguing. Haven’t made it to Mexico yet.

Dia de los Muertos has been a favorite of mine also. I especially love the Yucatan Maya tradition of Hanal Pixan, and found the altars and displays in the Merida Zocalo astonishing with their color, flowers, and creative decorating. Really enjoyed your podcast on this lovely spiritual tradition.
